Weigh in day is tomorrow

31 July, 2009

I had a brilliant day yesterday - took the boys to the big smoke and wandered around the art gallery, library and museum. The boys are helping me on my weight loss quest which is another thing I've never done - included the rest of my family!! I usually go off on a diet and then, when we go anywhere my good intentions slip, and I'm not just talking about food intake....

I told the boys we had to use the stairs so mummy could burn more calories. 5 flights of stairs later we where at the top of the museum!! I did it!! But the burn in my legs - owwiii

Then we drove into town and parked on the top floor of the car park and promptly to the lift down!! We did however walk zig zag through all the little side streets in town seeing all the things we would normally miss (the gay clubs, cheap solicitors, flat rentals and a brothel!!!) We then stumbled across a famous football stars sports bar and the boys where given balloons. So they where really pleased!! We then continued down to the water front, walked along that and took in the sights and sounds then tramped right into the heart of the town centre.

We topped it off by getting a snack of apples and grapes and a bottle of water and a visit to Uncle K's where 2 weeks ago DS3 split his head open!! (we had to go see if we could do it again....He didn't)

Came away with their stock of frozen pea and ham soup and Scouse - no cooking for me now for the week!!

So altogether, we walked for 4 hours!! I'd already been on the treadmill in the morning and then in the evening went to aqua fit. A zillion calories where burned and I'm not obsessing about food - only how I can burn more calories. This morning, we are going to visit Granny where we are having a family day. Me and BB sister are going to throw one another around the garden and up a hill to burn enough calories to cancel out the red wine I will be drinking this afternoon. Weigh in day is tomorrow, so fingers crossed.....
