There are lots of reasons why we don't train even though we know we should. Motivation and environment play the biggest part and wedged in there somewhere is attitude.
I'm not in the mood to train today - I am very busy this week. I have normal every day life getting in the way and this week every day is taken up by "stuff". Important "stuff" but non the less "stuff" I could do with out. So what can I do?
Well, 1st of all I'm going to write a list of where I'm meant to be and when. Then I'm going to delegate some of this "stuff" to other people - which is very hard for a control freak!!
Then, I'm going to plan my meals for the next few days because I'm permanently hungry at the moment and that's because after doing the Jenny Craig meal replacement plan I now have to think again!!
Finally - even if I have to put a bomb up my ass - I'm going to train! I will drag myself out for a run and after a several minutes a sense of achievement kicks in and my whole attitude changes. I believe I can do it and I do!
