That's dead easy - its not what you take its what you eat!! If you want to stand a fighting chance of eating food that you feel won't endanger your waistline, take a bag of salad!! Actually - be imaginative and knock something up like a skinny pizza or a tasty fruit salad. You could spin your own dip and take veggies or do a huge veg omelette! Or you could try the ubber fat free option and take the plates!!
However, folks, I'm sorry to say this, but its what you choose to eat that matters, not what you take. I'm off to a buffet this weekend and buffet food (next to bread/toast) is my killer - I can clear and entire buffet table before the cling-film's come off!! There is something very appealing about finger food.
I remember when I used to go picnicking with a particular friend of mine - Lyn. She used to cut all the crusts off the childrens sandwiches then cut them into 2" squares. Made of squashy white bread, usually with meat spread on them, I would begrudge each child as they ate a piece! I'd be sat there with my limp butty, brown with a single piece of ham on it and drool over her little butty box.
Now however, if its a butty I'm having, its a scooby do style one where you need to dislocate your jaw to get it in!! I still struggle with my little white sandwich addiction so I try to avoid white bread, kids and picnics!! NOT
