New High Intensity Interval Training Research

This explains Interval training much better than I can - however - it doesn't mean running to the point of exhaustion!!  I tend to go at it for 1 minute at 8.8mph then walk at 4mph for 1 minute and repeat this ten times during a 35 - 40 minute run having warmed up at race pace for 5 to 1o minutes first. High intensity interval training, also known as HIIT, has become immensely popular in the last decade.
