Weight loss Blog

2 July, 2010

I've lost 47lb so far - I can now run and have even started wearing dresses again - this is my story!! I'm a 92 yr old woman - I jest - I just feel it some days!!  I'm a mum to 3 gremlins, married to BB, I work and I weighed closer to 17st than I cared to be.  This is a genuine blog about my weight loss, I'm not trying to sell anything other than inspiration and motivation - which I actually give away for free.

I'm hoping you're enjoying reading my blog, I was looking at one the other day where the girl who runs it photographs all her food them publishes it on the blog. Don't worry, I'm not going to do that but it I can see how it would work as a weight loss tool - by the time you've taken your pictures, eaten your food, loaded them onto your pc, popped them you your blog - it'd be time to eat again!! Actually I can't! Stop messing about with your camera woman and go for a walk.

I have no magic diet, I take no pills, I swallow nothing liquid unless its water, tea or wine - OK and the occasional beer.  I don't wear coffee bean tights, pulsating contraptions (though they sound interesting) nor do I starve myself, count calories, measure my food intake, follow a weight loss plan (as such) or eat only green things one day and red the next.

All I do is move more - yes folks, for me, that's it - the thing that broke my fatty spirit was to become more active!!  First I walked more, then I ran more, now I also bike more and do more resistance training.  Remember, no pills, no potions just a pair of smelly trainers, a bottle of water, a good friend to chunner to and if BF and BB are unavailable, Lady Gaga or Right said Fred bob along with me!!

My largest investment was Roger my tredmill, but he was my treat to me, my choice.  I did join the local council gym when I hurt my foot, I cound't run so wanted to use a cross trainer, used it at least 3 times then never went back!!  And my bike was a £55 bargain!!  I already had trackky bottoms and t-shirts but as I've replaced them to smaller sizes (22-24 to 16 and this week a size pair of size 14 running 3/4 trousers) via eBay, charity shops and discount sports shops - the point I'm trying to make is that getting fit really doesn't have to cost you much - mainly time and effort.

Want to know more??  Read the blog and feel free to comment, some get published some get a giggle.
