I live in a small market town where everyone knows everyone so when a pink hat wearing man decides to walk like a maniac every day for miles and I mean miles - you tend to notice these things!!
We live in a small village on the outskirts of town, approx 4 miles away. Last winter I nearly ran this goon over, several times in fact. Though he wears a chunky (and possibly smelly) hi viz coat, sunglasses, ear phones and lights, he still just pops up!!
The attire above must be super-glued to him as this is what he wears even in the sun!! However, I have seen him once without the coat and was shocked at how young he is. His face is weather beaten and he always has a beard shadow. The hat is pulled right down (sometimes he wears a Scouser wig) and his coat is zipped up to his nose.
Where is he going? Wha'ts he listening too? Why's he walking??? The kids wave to him each morning en route to school but he doesn't see us and I have seen him several Sundays on the way back from the car boot at stupid o'clock - I get the impression if you wanted to talk to him (that's if he allowed you to) you would have to walk with him, nothing is going to break this mans stride!!
